Description

Hi,

I have a problem while connecting to the iodine server. I've launch : sudo ./iodined -fP mypassword 172.16.0.1 my_no_ip.hostname.com on my ubuntu server (192.168.1.150) witch are behind a linksys router (192.168.1.1) with the UDP&TCP port 53 forwarded. (the router manage the no-ip update).

And from the client, I run : sudo ./iodine -fP mypassword 192.168.1.1 my_no_ip.hostname.com

192.168.1.1 is my AP (and the same linksys router) who work as DNS. But the issue happend even with another DNS.

With the new 0.4.1, it will print the received error message instead of 'iodine: no query or answer in answer'. this may help you.

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to wontfix

Running iodined behind a NAT server is known to cause problems. Also, you use your linksys box both as DNS server and forward to your iodined, seems strange. Closing.
