Proper way of setting up MTU for tunnel interface on windows:

1) Search in this branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet?\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002bE10318} for subbranch with DriverDesc? = "TAP-Win32 Adapter V8" 2) Find the string key "MTU" within it and set it to the right value 3) Remember value of key NetCfgInstanceId? within the same branch 4) Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet?\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces and find the subbranch with a name equal to NetCfgInstanceId? we remembered on step 3. 5) In the found subbranch create the DWORD "MTU" key and set it to our MTU value too. 6) (optional?) restart the tunnel interface (using netsh?)
